My name is Cherilynn Stone and I am an E-commerce Business Consultant. I help small business owners establish a web presence or improve the one they currently have.
I am a long time Alaskan, not born, but raised.
In the mid 1990’s I owned a Limousine business. Later, I earned a Real Estate license that I held for seven years. Around 2001, I got involved in Internet marketing, applying it to the Real Estate business.
More and more licensees were utilizing web sites and online lead services, as a new breed of home buyer was emerging. Buyers willing to put
offers on homes and other property based on virtual tours they’d seen on websites.
However, a bit ahead of my time, many of my colleagues were not ready for this new shift in marketing and increasingly I found that I had more of a passion for Internet marketing than Real Estate, so I let go of the license and put everything in to marketing online.
In January of 2008, after 7 years of study and application, I launched a consulting business to take this information to small business owners.
One common frustration I hear a lot, and have for years from business owners, is that they’ve hired an expensive programmer to build their website, but the work is not done and the programmer cannot be found.
Another frustration is that they get their expensive website built, probably spending thousands of dollars, but for nothing more than a billboard, informational type site that becomes an income drain rather than the revenue source and lead generator it should be.
Any tool invested in for business should at least pay for itself relatively quickly.
A third frustration that ANYONE who builds a site for income has is, once the site is up, great, but there will not be any sales made or leads generated if no one visits the site.
So, we find the business owner has spend a huge portion, if not all of his advertising budget on a website and now has to spend even more to drive traffic to the site.
These are three of the main obstacles that I strive to help business owners overcome.
First, by consulting with them and helping them understand why they even need a website, teaching them how to create a presence online with a site that is direct response, meaning the site is strategically designed to be at the heart of their marketing efforts, and specifically tailored to their unique niche.
Second, weather I am hired to build their site, or they take part in my workshops to learn everything they need to know to do it themselves, they will spend a minute fraction of the cost of conventional programmers and their site is up and running, fully functional, feature rich, and ready to work for them the same day.
Lastly, my team implements, or I teach the business owner to implement for themselves, proven, specific traffic strategies that drive enormous amounts traffic to their site, while establishing them as an expert in their field, in the eyes of search engines and consumers alike.
This causes them to rank high in search engines search results which in turn generates more traffic, leading to more sales from their site and new customers in their stores.
Establishing a web presence, one that is functional and profitable, is a full-time endeavor. If you already own a business, finding the time to learn everything you need to know to harness the power of the Internet for your business is virtually impossible.
